After two years he started work as a locum consultant in Orthopaedics at the same hospital till 1994. He returned to India to his earlier job and took a transfer to Manipal Hospital, Bangalore as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon. Dr. Chakravarthy goes to the Royal Cornwall Hospital every year to clear joint replacement waiting list backlog. The hospital faithfully renews his work permit every year for the last ten years. Dr. Chakravarthy conducts joint replacement clinics every month in Calcutta and Dhaka, Bangladesh. He has lectured in many joint replacement meets in India and has read and published papers nationally and internationally. In addition to his Master of Orthopaedic Surgery from Benaras Hindu University, he has passed the National Board Examination of India, both in Orthopaedics and also Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation. He has also passed his M. Ch. in Orthopaedics from the University of Liverpool, United Kingdom. Mr. P. M.
